About Phoenix

It all began with a simple belief:

that everyone deserves opportunities to grow, connect and flourish, regardless of their circumstances.

That belief has guided every decision we’ve made ever since and continues to shape Phoenix today.

Over the years, Phoenix has continued to grow and evolve. We’ve welcomed new animals, created beautiful outdoor spaces, developed new projects, built lasting partnerships and supported thousands of people through opportunities made possible by the generosity of our community.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but even more proud of how we’ve achieved it: by taking our time, by listening, by building relationships and by never losing sight of the people at the heart of everything we do.

Through every stage of that journey, one thing has remained exactly the same.

People have always come first.

We’ve never measured success by numbers, but by the relationships we’ve built.

Those relationships have been at the heart of Phoenix for almost twenty years:

Nature

From the beginning, we recognised that some of life’s most meaningful experiences happen outdoors.

Nature creates space to slow down, explore, ask questions and simply enjoy being present. It removes many of the barriers people experience in everyday life and allows conversations, confidence and curiosity to grow naturally.

That’s why nature has always been more than a backdrop at Phoenix. It’s part of the experience.

Animals

Our animals have never been here simply to be seen.

They have always been part of how we create opportunities for connection. Time and again, we’ve watched them break down barriers, start conversations and bring comfort where words sometimes cannot.

They remind us that relationships are often built through simple moments of trust, curiosity and kindness.

Community

Phoenix has always believed that lasting change happens when people come together.

Every volunteer who gives their time, every business that offers support, every fundraiser and every donation becomes part of something bigger.

Community isn’t simply who we work with.
